The academic program has been developed by several Spanish teachers who have a combined total of more than 100 years of experience teaching Spanish intensively. They have been in close consultation with Dr. Barbara Schmidt-Rinehart, Ashland University, Ashland, Ohio, a widely respected authority on foreign language education and study abroad. Our teachers are all native Spanish speakers who have had special training in teaching our unique program. The majority have more than ten years of experience teaching Spanish as a second language.

The most important aspect of our program is its flexibility in order to accommodate the individual needs of each student.

The Intensive Spanish Program is designed to enable students to actively comunicate and interact in a wide range of everyday situations to reach conversational fluency in the shortest time possible while they get to know the culture and traditions of the Mexican people.

The Intensive Spanish Program consists of 30 hours of weekly instruction in groups of no more than five students.
The ISP consists of:

• 3 hours of group language classes emphasizing the four skills of a language: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
• 2 hours of guided conversation, Real-life practice situations or Content Courses.
• 1 hour of Special Topics: Field trips to local museums, Salsa Classes, Lectures, Mexican songs, etc.

Students are grouped by their Spanish ability based on a brief written placement test and oral interview and will be placed in one of our more than 15 Spanish group levels; from beginners to superior.

Length: You can attend ouir programs starting from one week to as many as desired. Nevertheless, in order to make a rewarding experience, we suggest a minimum of two weeks.
